About us
Stott and May's finance technology business represents a select number of buy-side and sell-side clients, ranging from Investment Banks and Hedge Funds, to High Frequency Proprietary Trading firms and Financial Software houses based in London, Geneva/Zurich, New York, Chicago and Hong Kong.
Our in-house Finance team delivers expertise in the identification and delivery of world class, top percentile talent within the Financial Information Technology space. We partner closely with our clients to enable us to supply talent resources, so those enterprises can continue to dominate their sectors.
It is traditional and understandable in this hugely competitive marketplace for Banks and Funds to maintain an acceptable cloak of confidentiality, even secrecy, about the sourcing and remuneration of key individuals and teams. We are as tight-lipped as we must be to retain the respect and often extraordinary regard of our clients, and the candidates whose careers we help shape.
Living and working in this often arcane environment has its high rewards and its ever-present challenges to both senior management and their hires. Nobody understands the culture better than our team.

Senior team
Daniel Boyle
Head of Finance Technology
For many years, Daniel has been heavily involved in the finance technology world - a unique education in the reasons why London’s banking and financial services sector leads the world.
Innumerable meetings, luncheons and events over an amazing decade with the leaders and second tier executives of the top 30 financial institutions has established what Daniel calls a “culture template” of every significant bank and hedge fund and ‘prop shop’.
He knows who was who, why and to where they moved on, and who is currently who; and their particular skill and personality set preferences in their hiring’s.
When he has time and energy, Daniel is an active member of the ‘British Music Producers Guild’ and enjoys recreation in the world of music production, spending time producing Global artists in studios both here in the UK, and in Jamaica.

Opportunities
No matter the economic environment, no matter the constant threat of sovereign debt issues causing further havoc in the markets, there are a number of comforting constants in the arena of financial technology.
If you’re technologically gifted, comfortable in the rapidly changing world of IT and software products, vocationally articulate and sufficiently ambitious, there is always a newer, brighter, better role for you out there!
From Developers with Java or C++, to Silverlight & WPF, to C# and Data Architects, to Trader Voice Engineers to Solvency II Business Analysts, you’ll never walk alone!
The openings are rich and comparatively plentiful in Compliance, Capital Markets, Corporate Banking, Derivatives, Debt and Fixed Income, Risk Management, Private Equity, FX , Venture capital and Money Markets, and; of course, Quantitative Analytics.
If you have a background in Fund Accounting, you may be suited for a Data Quality and Control Analyst role.
With a strong background in Fixed Income Performance, a role as Fixed Income Attribution Manager or Senior Analyst may suit.
The opportunities are many and varied and our team, thoroughly immersed (and respected) in the marketplace, can provide honest guidance, direction; and friendly support for your next important step.
If you believe you have the relevant skills and experience, please send us your details.
Testimonials
I rarely throw compliments around as many people seem to be doing similar and surface-scratching work these days (CDS, popular and raving methods and frameworks, or LinkedIn anyone). I save my words for the best people around.
Daniel is very, very good. To find some integrity, sense of humour and deep understanding of the marketplace all rolled into one is unusual, absolutely worth pursuing and certainly refreshing. He is keen to help you, all those traits you will not find easy. I would not watch movies when looking for great negotiation skills either, he lives it day in and day out in the realm of a world that matters to you.
I have no doubt recommending Daniel for his skills, your next hiring or career move. He bridges gaps and connects people. He is not your usual consultant, far from it. If you need intelligence beyond the surface of inferred information, connect with him.High Frequency Systems Architect at Tier 1 Investment Bank
Daniel is to the average recruitment consultant what Goldman's high frequency platform is to a phone-wielding broker. His portfolio reads like a who's-who of the City, his rare ability to dissect even the largest organisation's recruitment needs and his determination to deliver "the best to the best" has very few peers in the industry.Quant Developer / Technical Architect at Leading UK Hedge Fund
